Firstly, I want to say my event is not about preaching to the masses, and its not about saying what is right and what is wrong. I began my own journey at the end of 2018 having a passion for new vehicle technologies and how I can be a help and support to others looking at maybe taking their first steps to an electric vehicle.
I have watched first hand battery electric vehicles grow through the eyes of my own event. I have also become an electric vehicle owner family myself. Since 2018 I have also become more focussed about the benefits of driving electric and what they can do to help us reduce our emissions.
This has also made me become more focussed on how I can become maybe a little greener throughout my everyday life. Climate Change have been two words that have become even more relevant over the last few years as we ourselves have watched our weather changing not just at home in the UK but around the world. I feel personally and this is only my own opinion that the subject has gone from many doubters that Climate Change truly exists, to more that fact we can see this playing out within our everyday lives.
So, I began to think how can I do a little more to help make my own life a little more greener living? I am just an ordinary individual and I am certainly no expert on the subject of climate change.
Running my event already, gave me an idea. What if I could learn myself, through my own event by bringing together those who may have a better idea than me. Those who have built or created things that could help me and my own family take some small steps, to help maybe embrace doing some things in a new way. It does not have to be big steps and big change although we all know the experts are saying time is running out. But what if I begin to take small steps and maybe in the process of myself and my family doing some things in a different way, I can play my part in helping reduce the effects of climate change.
I then imagined if I can take my own steps, and maybe share those steps with others through my own event, and in a very small way not only helping others but equally helping support others who are trying in their own way to help keep our own planet a better environment for everything that lives on it for generations to come.
And so, the Green Living Show has begun.
Small steps for our planet, can turn into bigger steps to help reduce the effects of climate change.
If you are a business or an individual that can help myself and others discover more steps?
